MuslimTasker grew out of a community-run referral network — neighbors connecting neighbors with the right tradesperson when something needed fixing. Some of that work is small enough to book in a few taps. Some of it isn't.
Major projects are the big ones: full remodels, home additions, multi-trade builds, large roofing replacements, new construction — work in the five- and six-figure range that doesn't fit a tap-to-book flow. For these, MuslimTasker connects a homeowner with one verified general contractor (GC) from the community network, and the project happens directly between them.
01For homeowners
If you have a remodel, addition, or other major project, posting it is completely free — no card, no obligation, no fee to MuslimTasker.
- Post your project for free. Tell us the scope, budget range, timeline, and add a few photos. It takes a couple of minutes.
- We match you with a verified contractor. We send your project to a vetted general contractor in the network who fits the work — not a phone book of cold leads.
- Your contact stays private until a contractor commits. Your full address and phone are shared only after a contractor unlocks the project, so you're not fielding calls from people who aren't serious.
- The project is between you and the contractor. You sign your own contract with them and pay them directly for the work.
02For contractors
If you're a general contractor, builder, or major-project trade pro in the MuslimTasker network, major-project leads are real, qualified, and exclusive — only one contractor gets each one.
- See real projects in your area. Browse open major-project leads with the scope, budget band, timeline, and photos — enough to decide whether it's worth your time before you spend anything.
- Unlock a lead with a one-time lead fee. When you want a project, you pay a one-time fee to unlock it. That reveals the homeowner's contact details and opens an in-app chat — and the lead is now yours alone.
- You must be verified. Major-project leads are available only to contractors who have completed verification and Stripe payout onboarding.
03The lead fee
To unlock a major-project lead, a contractor pays a one-time lead fee based on the size of the project (the larger the budget band, the larger the fee). The exact fee for each lead is shown clearly before you pay — there are no surprises.
- The fee is charged once, when you unlock the lead.
- It is non-refundable, because unlocking removes the lead from every other contractor (see Section 5).
- If the project is later awarded to you, the lead fee is credited toward the 3% success fee below — so you're not paying twice.
04The 3% success fee
When a contractor is awarded a project they unlocked through MuslimTasker, a success fee applies:
- 3% of the awarded contract value, paid by the contractor.
- The one-time lead fee already paid is credited against this 3% — you only owe the difference.
- The success fee is confirmed by both sides: the contractor reports the award and contract value, and the homeowner confirms it in-app.
The principle is the same one this network has always run on: we only earn meaningfully when you do. The lead fee keeps leads serious; the success fee is tied to work you actually win.
05Exclusive leads
Major-project leads are exclusive. When a contractor unlocks a lead:
- That lead is theirs alone — it is removed from the pool so no other contractor can unlock the same project.
- Leads are non-transferable. You may not resell, assign, or share an unlocked lead with another contractor.
- Because the lead is exclusive and the contact is revealed at unlock, the lead fee is non-refundable.
This is the difference between MuslimTasker and a typical lead service: you're not bidding against five other people who all bought the same name.
06Two product lines
MuslimTasker operates two distinct lines of work:
- Standard service jobs — handyman, AC repair, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and similar — booked through the MuslimTasker app. Customers post for free and pay when they approve a quote; the platform fee is built into that flow.
- Major projects — the large, custom work described on this page, matched to one verified contractor who pays to unlock the lead plus a 3% success fee on award.
Drawing the line between the two is judgment, not a hard rule. If you're not sure whether a particular job is a standard service job or a major project, ask and we'll work it out together. A simple test: if it doesn't fit a fixed-price tap-to-book flow on a phone screen, it's a major project.
07Term and termination
- This is an at-will arrangement. Either side can stop participating in major-project matching at any time, with no penalty.
- Projects already unlocked and in motion when either side stops remain governed by the terms above through award and any success fee.
- There's no minimum volume commitment in either direction, and no requirement that a contractor unlock any particular lead.
08Disputes
The community context matters. Most disagreements are about timing or scope ambiguity, not bad faith — and they're nearly always resolvable in a conversation. The escalation path:
- Phone or in-person conversation. Talk it through directly first.
- Informal mediation if the conversation doesn't resolve it. We bring in someone both sides trust.
- Formal legal escalation as a last resort, under the governing-law terms in our Terms of Service.
Relationships outlast any one job. We optimize for the relationship.
09Tax cooperation
- Bayti LLC will provide a W-9 to any contractor on request.
- Fees paid to Bayti LLC are documented in-app and itemized clearly to make end-of-year reconciliation straightforward.
- Contractors are responsible for their own tax obligations on the project revenue they earn.
10What this is not
- This is not a guarantee of awards. Unlocking a lead reveals the homeowner and opens a conversation; it doesn't guarantee you'll win the project. Win it the usual way — a good quote and good rapport.
- This is not a guarantee of lead volume. We match what comes our way that fits your trade and area. Volume varies week to week.
- This is not a substitute for a homeowner–contractor contract. The actual project between the contractor and the homeowner is governed by their own contract, not by this page.
- This page is informational. The binding terms are in our Terms of Service; where this page and the Terms differ, the Terms control.
